Hands-On Azure Labs: Building Redundant Cloud Solutions

Lab Overview

In this lab, you will deploy a Windows Server 2019 VM named EAST01 in the East US region. You’ll integrate this VM into an availability set to enhance redundancy and fault tolerance, mirroring the setup you completed in the West US region. By the end of the lab, EAST01 will be part of a load-balanced solution, ready to serve web traffic in tandem with other East US resources.

By completing this lab, you will be able to:

• • Deploy a Windows Server 2019 virtual machine (EAST01) in East US.
  • Join an availability set (or create one) to ensure high availability and resiliency.
  • Configure a NIC network security group (NSG) rule to allow HTTP traffic on port 80.
