Hands-On Azure Labs: Building Redundant Cloud Solutions
Lab 22: Deploy surfcityeast999 & Images Container
Lab Overview
In this lab, you will mirror your West US storage setup by deploying a Blob Storage account in the East US region, named (for example) surfcityeast999, along with an images container. Maintaining parallel storage in both regions supports improved latency for users closer to East US and enhances availability in the event of a regional outage. This configuration will eventually allow seamless replication of static files across both locations.
Learning Objectives
- Create a Blob Storage account (e.g., surfcityeast999) in East US.
- Establish an images container for media assets.
- Compare storage configurations and performance across West and East US.
- Strengthen the foundation for future object replication and global access.
Exam Relevance
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator): Validates skills in provisioning and administering Azure storage resources in multiple regions.
- AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect): Shows proficiency in designing distributed architectures, ensuring scalable and fault-tolerant storage solutions in Azure.
