Navigating SolarWinds and SAM

[yasr_visitor_votes]

Lab Overview

Server and Application Monitor works by using UDP, TCP, SNMP, WMI, and WinRM calls to the environment and application servers to provide real-time feedback about applications and trends. It collects this data and stores it in the SolarWinds Platform database.

From the Web Console, you’ll see lots of different views, which show blocks of information. The information blocks are called widgets, and each widget displays data for a different aspect of monitoring. This data is typically shown in chart or table form.
