Microsoft Applied Skills: Secure Storage for Azure Files and Azure Blob Storage
Part 1 of 5: Provide Storage for the IT Department Testing and Training
Lab Overview
In this lab, your IT manager at SurfCity Boats wants you to build out Azure storage so that new IT personnel can be trained on basic cloud storage management.
Since the environment you’ll be setting up is for training purposes, content stored in the storage account isn’t crucial, so it doesn’t need to be backed up, nor does it need to restored if it’s accidentally overwritten or deleted. The goal is a straightforward, easily configurable solution that supports these tasks without complexity.
As you work through this lab, you’ll create a storage account and configure basic security and networking settings. In doing so, you’ll build out the foundational environment for the training and testing activities for the SurfCity Boats IT department.
